Christmas Cards

The Greetery Let’s Make Memories Holiday Collection

Today begins the reveal of The Greetery’s Let’s Make Memories Holiday Collection. You are going to be blown away these next four days as all of the new products are showcased. Betsy has outdone herself again, sharing her art with us, and I can not wait to see what you all create with this collection!

I love snowflakes, and seeing this Frosty Corners Die Collection was love at first sight. I decided on a white-on-white look for these snowflakes, adding adhesive to the back of the card stock first before die-cutting. I used the previously released Halfsies Diamond Die to die-cut the white stitched panels, and added the Frosty Corners. The new Frosty Flakes Stencil was used to make the background… I blended light gray ink over the stencil with a blender brush onto a card base. I attached the single snowflake, and used a a glitter pen and T-ruler to draw a string for the snowflake to hang from. I used thin foam squares to add the Halfsies Diamond panels, and finished the card with a stamped and silver heat-embossed sentiment from the newest stamp set in the Sentiment Suite: Christmas.

My next card features the stunning Christmas Eve Stamp Set.

I can stare at this scene all day. This is one of the most unique stamp sets I have ever had the pleasure to use. And what a fun scene to build! I followed the included stamping guide to stamp the 5-step church, and 3-step cars. The silhouette family and street lamps were next, and I used the coordinating dies to die-cut them.

For the background, I used the Pathway Stencil‘s inner mask to cover white card stock, and made a snowy pathway up to the church. I blended light gray ink over the stencil to add edges to the walk way, and also added a few shadows to the snowy hill. I covered the top of the hill with a mask before ink-blending Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks for the night sky.

The tree next to the church is included in the Christmas Eve stamp set. The two front trees are from the new Fir and Foliage No. 2 stamp set. I stamped several trees, and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them. I added drops of Multi Media Matte around each tree, and poured Ranger Distress Rock Candy Glitter over the adhesive.

I used the sentiment and snow stamp from the Christmas Eve stamp set to finish the night sky. I attached the images to the panel with different sized foam squares, trimming off anything hanging over the edges. I attached the panel to a card base with foam adhesive to finish the card.

I made another card with a similar night scene, this time making a road for the family to walk on.

I used the Pathway stencil again, using the main stencil to make the street. The Christmas Eve stamp set comes with two banners to hang on the street lamps or trees. I chose the string of lights banner for this card. I added glittered Fir and Foliage trees, topping two of them with gold heat-embossed stars from the new Tree Trimmings stamp set. I added sentiments from the Sentiment Suites: Christmas stamp set, using the coordinating dies to die-cut them.
