Taylored Expressions October Release Sneak Peeks: Day 2

Day Two sneak peeks are here for the new TE October Release! I have two beautiful winter cards to share with you today showcasing a new stencil and Border Builder. All of the new products used will be available this Thursday, October 3, at 9 AM CST, in the TE Shop.

This CAS (clean-and-simple) card was made with the new Winter’s Beauty Stencil. I ink-blended Confetti Cake ink onto Saltwater Taffy card stock in the upper right corner, then blended Sugar Cube ink in the lower left corner. I place the stencil over the white ink, and spread a thin layer of Moonstone Glitter Paste over the top. Once dry, I trimmed the edges, and attached it to a Sugar Cube card base. The stamped and silver heat-embossed sentiment is from the new Mini Strips Holiday Set, which I added with thin foam adhesive to finish the card.

My second card features the new Border Builders-Evergreens.

To make the night scene, I used several blues, Jelly Donut, and Oreo TE Watercolors. I painted several layers onto watercolor paper, letting each layer dry in between. Once I was happy with the night sky, I put the finished panel aside, and moved on to the trees. I die-cut them from watercolor paper, and used Peapod, Chocolate Truffle, and Oreo Watercolors. After the trees were painted and had dried, I added lines of Ranger Multi Media Matte with a fine point nozzle onto the trees, and poured Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter onto them. I used a sentiment from the new Flip The Snowflake stamp set to stamp and white heat-emboss onto the background, then spattered watered-down acrylic paint over the panel for stars. I attached the trees with foam squares, trimmed the edges, and added the panel to a card base to finish the card.
