Happy Thursday everyone! It’s Taylored Expressions release day, and all the products the creative team has featured this week are now available! You can stop by the blog for one more round of inspiration today before heading over to the shop.
I have two cards to share today featuring some of the new products now available.
I made this card with my mother-in-law in mind – she’s all about purple! I used TE Watercolors mixed with shimmer for the background, working from darkest to lightest. I splattered more color onto the panel after it had dried, then added watered down acrylic paint for even more contrast. I stamped and white-heat-embossed snowflakes from Flip The Snowflake stamp set. I stamped a Handlettered Holiday 2 sentiment in Jelly Donut ink and then stamped it with embossing ink. I poured Diamond embossing powder over the sentiment, melted it with my heat tool, and used the coordinating die to die-cut it. I trimmed the watercolor panel with a stitched rectangle stacklet, mounted it onto Plum Punch card stock, and attached it to a card base. I added the sentiment with thin foam squares to finish the card.
This second one was a fun card to put together! I used the new Poinsettia and Pine Stencil to blend Cherry Pop ink over Fruit Punch card stock. Next, I added a thin layer of translucent embossing paste over the stencil. I took the stencil off and let the panel dry. I also used the new Pine Clippings dies to die-cut Basil card stock. Using a finger dauber, I added Sugar Cube ink to the edges of the clippings, then added Ranger Multi Media Matte. I sprinkled loose white flock and Distress Rock Candy Glitter over the adhesive, and let it dry. I used the same sentiment as the card above, but heat-embossed in gold this time before die-cutting it. I trimmed the stenciled background, attached it to a card base with foam adhesive, then added the clippings and sentiment with glue and foam squares to finish the card.
Now it’s your turn to create! Have fun checking out all the new products in TE Shop. Thanks for stopping by!
