MFT and Friends November Release

It’s Release Day! The MFT November Release is now available in the MFT Shop. All of the new products you’ve seen these past 5 days can be found HERE.

I have a fun winter card to share with you today, featuring the new Birdie Brown Snow Buddies stamp set.

How cute are these friends?!! I colored them with Copic Markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating Die-namics. The Die-namics set also comes with two dies to die-cut openings in the background panel. I used them to die-cut two snow piles for the dogs to be tucked into.

For the background, I used Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks, and Distress Resist Spray. I sprayed a white card stock panel with a couple mists from the resist spray, and gave it a minute to dry. I blended a little bit of Tumbled Glass ink over the panel, then used a towel to wipe the panel. Ink that was on any dried droplets of the Distress Resist spray wiped away. I did the process again- spraying, ink-blending, and wiping- using another coat of Tumbled Glass ink. My third, and last, layer was with Faded Jeans ink. Three layers of trapped colors gave this beautiful, snowy background. I wiped the panel one last time, and trimmed it with a stitched rectangle die. I attached the panel to a card base with foam adhesive, and added the characters, silver heat-embossed sentiment and snowflakes, with foam squares to finish the card.
