My Favorite Things November Birthday Project

It’s time for the November MFT Birthday Project Challenge, and this month we are shaking things up:

There’s no better occasion than a birthday to get as festive as possible by including shaker elements packed with glitter, sequins, or confetti. If shakers aren’t your style, including a cute critter careening across your card with a slider element is another exciting option. Shaker and interactive elements are a joy both to create AND receive so do yourself a favor and join us this month in crafting cards that move you.

This Polar Penguin was a perfect match for a December-themed birthday shaker card. I used Copic Markers to color the stamped images, and die-cut them with the coordinating Die-namics. I stamped the Simple Snowflakes background stamp with Red Hot ink onto white card stock, and used the Classic Snow Globe Die-namics to die-cut a shaker window, and make the shaker elements. I filled the coordinating Classic Snow Globe pouch with snowflake sequins and Rock Candy Glitter, then attached the panel to a card base.

Now, it’s your turn! Be sure to head over to the MFT blog for more design team ideas and inspiration, then enter your birthday card for a chance to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. This card is SO cheerful! Any body who received this on their birthday would be thrilled and their day would be extra happy!! This MFT set is perfect for all of us winter babies. (Mine is so close to Christmas, I don’t usually get birthday cards, though.)
Thanks for sharing this fun card, Angelica.
