Christmas Cards

Pretty Pink Posh Penguin Pals and Decorative Ornaments

Hi friends. I am stopping by with a couple of Pretty Pink Posh Christmas cards, and news on the shop’s Black Friday Sale. Let’s start with the cards… My first card showcases the sweet Penguin Pals stamp set.

I colored the penguins with the following Copic colors: N7, N5, C1; R00,R0000; YR09, YR07; R59, R29, R27, R24; YG17, YG05, YG01; RV14, RV23, RV21. I used the coordinating dies to die cut them.

I made a night background using Taylored Expressions Blue Corn and Oreo watercolors on watercolor paper. Once the panel was dry, I splattered white paint for snow. I attached the panel to a card base, and added the penguins with thin foam squares. I finished the card with Happy Holidays, which I die-cut out of white card stock.

My second card features the beautiful Decorative Ornaments stamp set.

I stamped and gold heat-embossed the ornaments onto Bristol Smooth paper. I blended the following Distress oxide inks onto the ornaments:

  • Spun Sugar and Aged Mahogany
  • Cracked Pistachio and Pine Needles
  • Tumbled Glass and chipped Sapphire

For the background, I blended gray ink over the Snowflake Stencil onto white card stock. I trimmed the panel down, and added it to a card base with foam adhesive. I used a Truler to draw strings for the ornaments, then attached the ornaments with thin foam squares. I added a bow from Twine and Bows die set to each ornament. The sentiment comes from the Happy Snowman stamp set. I finished the card by adding a Sparkling Clear Jewel to each bow.

I hope I have helped with ideas for Christmas cards. Head on over to the PPP Shop this weekend, and use code FRIDAY2019 to get 25% off your order! This code is good now through November 30, 2019. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
