Christmas Cards

The Greetery’s Winter’s Song Collection: Sneak Peek Day 1

Today begins the product reveal of The Greetery’s Winter’s Song Release. I have two cards to share today featuring some of the new beautiful products. Be sure to stop by The Greetery blog for full details on all of today’s product reveals.

These flowers are from the new Pine Blossom Stamp set. I inked the stamps the way Betsy has shown in several The Greetery YouTube videos, with Distress Oxide Inks and finger daubers. I used the following Oxide ink colors for my stamps: Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Pine Needles, Iced Spruce, and Squeezed Lemonade. The white card stock panels were die-cut with the new Nordic Frames Dies. I stamped a sentiment from the Pine Blossom stamp set onto the smaller panel before assembling the card.

My next card features the new Inside and Out Berry Branch Die. This is a really unique die. Not only are there are six different branches in this single die, there is also a frame.

I sprayed three panels of white card stock with a variety of Distress Oxide Sprays – this was my first time using the sprays and after finishing this project, I can now admit I am a huge fan of them! I let the sprayed panels fully dry before adding double-sided adhesive to the backs of them. I ran each panel through my die-cut machine with the Berry Branch Die, and started decorating a card panel with the die-cut branches. I trimmed the edges and then used a C1 Copic marker to add a shadow around each cut. I love the effect a light shadow can do for an image!

I stamped and die-cut Merry Christmas from the Sentiment Suite: Christmas Stamp Set, and attached the panel to a card base. I finished the card with a watercolored BotaniCuts Pine Cone. Come back tomorrow for more details about that pine cone…
