The Greetery’s Love Letters Collection: Sneak Peek Day 1

I am so excited that today is finally here! Sneak peek days are so fun, and I love to hear from all of you what products have caught your eye. I am so in love with the postal theme throughout this new Love Letters Collection. I have a few cards to share, information on a giveaway, and links to today’s designers. Lets get started!

Let’s start with a Valentine’s card. I used a few new products with this card, so let me walk you through it. The Cupcake card stock is stamped with the new Windowpane Plaid Rubber Cling Stamp, using Cherry ink. I die-cut it with a new Postal Frames die, and mounted it onto Watermelon card stock. The envelope stamp is from the new Signed & Sealed stamp set. I stamped the envelope and liner (yes- there’s a red and white polka dot liner peaking through the flowers!) with Cherry ink, and used the coordinating die to die-cut it. The die cuts an opening into the envelope, making it easy to slip a bouquet into. The flowers, heart, and sentiment come from the new Signed & Sealed With A Kiss stamp set. I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images, including the sweet sentiment. I stuffed the envelope with the flowers and leaves, snipping off anything peeking out from the sides and bottom. I attached the envelope to the card front, then added the heart and sentiment with thin foam squares. I die-cut white card stock with a Crimped frame, added it to a card base, and attached the stamped panel.

My second card features the Signed & Sealed stamp set, this time in a more masculine way.

I stamped Avocado card stock with the Windowpane Plaid stamp in Avocado ink, and die-cut with a Postal Frames Die. I white heat-embossed a sentiment from Signed & Sealed stamp set onto the blue-stamped envelope before die-cutting it. The Signed and Sealed Die Collection has a single die that will cut a slit. I used that die to die-cut the avocado card stock, so I can add a gift card. So clever for Betsy to add that die! Since the gift card needs more room than what the stamped envelope can give, I just attached the envelope on top of the die-cut slit, and slid the gift card into it. I added leaves from Signed & Sealed With a Kiss, and Inside & Out Berry Branch Die.

My last card Features the romantic Pretty Postmarks stamp set.

When I saw this stamp set, I went immediately back to my grandma’s house. I thought of my grandma’s dishes, her stationary, her handwriting… even her dresser, decorated with vintage perfume bottles. I obviously made this card and envelope with her in mind. I used the small stamps in the set to stamp the background. I pulled out four small acrylic blocks, and Warm Buff dye ink. I started stamping the background, working from the middle out. Once I finished, I used a blender brush to blend Warm Buff ink around the edges of the panel for a vintage look, and mounted it onto a card base. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with Espresso dye ink onto white card stock, and die cut with a Crimped Frame die. I blended more Warm Buff ink over the sentiment, attached it to vellum, and added it to the card.

I also used the stamp set to make a coordinating envelope. To keep with the vintage feel, I used the same ink to blend over a cream envelope, and used a die from Postage Frames to die-cut stamped postage stamps. I attached the stamps to the envelope, and finished by stamping the included postmarks and cancellation marks.
