My Favorite Things Love You Shaker Card

Hi friends! I have a sweet card to share today, using the new MFT Love You Circle Frame Die-namics.

I started by blending a rainbow circle with MFT inks. I used the Love You Frame to die-cut the inked paper. Next, I started assembling a shaker card, die-cutting a circle first. I attached a treat-size circle pouch (filled with candy hearts) from the back of the circle with 1/8 score tape, and closed the back with card stock I had die-cut with an Essentials Sentiment Rip Strip. I glued the Love You frame around the pouch, and added a strip of pattern paper, and gold glitter paper for extra color. So the recipient can get to the candy, I die cut a circle out of the card base before attaching the card front, exposing the rip strip.

This card will conveniently find its way into my husband’s lunch box. He always enjoys surprise cards at lunch time, and this one is extra sweet!

I hope I have helped with ideas on how to change up your shaker cards. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. I like the rip strip idea. I wasn’t too sure if they were real candies, but if I got a card with an “open here and enjoy” it would help clue me in. Very good directions on how to make this.
