Pinkfresh Studio February 2020 Background Stamp Release

Hi friends! I’m joining Pinkfresh Studio today for their February Background Stamp Release Blog Hop. If you’re following the hop, you should be arriving from Ashlea Cornell’s blog. You will find the full lineup listed below, as well as details for giveaways on today’s hop. I have a few cards to share, so let’s get started!

My first card today features the new Abstract Cube background stamp. I made a simple background, using black ink on the red-rubber background, showing off how clean the pattern is. I added color with a Simple Blossoms flower, and finished the card with a Phrase Builder: Sending hugs die cut.

The new Floral Shadow Background is another beautiful stamp that easily makes quick cards.

I went bold with color, using black ink to stamp Ripe Raspberry card stock. This stamp is so pretty on it’s own, so I decided to only add die cut words from Phrase Builder: You, and Phrase Builder: Sending.

My last card features the new Lemon Lush Background stamp. I am a huge fan of anything citrus, so this was love at first sight for me.

I stamped, and white heat-embossed Lemon Lush onto watercolor paper. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brushes and a spray bottle to add color. I quickly scribbled colors all over paper, then sprayed the panel heavily with water. The water moves the pigments organically, and this is the end result. I saw this process done a couple years ago, and I have been using it ever since. I highly recommend giving a try! Big background stamps, Like Lemon Lush, is the perfect match for this process.

Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it with an Essentials: Stitched Rectangle Die. I attached it to a card base with foam adhesive, and finished the card with a Sentiment Suite: Hello.

That’s all that I have for today. I hope I have helped give you ideas on how to use background stamps. Thanks so much for stopping by!
