Spellbinders Cut And Emboss Folders

Hi friends! I recently got my hands on two new February 2020 Spellbinders Cut And Emboss folders, and wanted to share how awesome these folders work! To learn more about the folders, check out this video HERE.

My first card was made with the beautiful Lahaina Cut And Emboss folder. I love using embossing folders for a few reasons: they are inexpensive, they do all the work for you, and they’re so pretty! I could’ve left the embossed white card stock alone, but I decided to add a little color to enhance the palms. I used a sponge and Nuvo Embellishment Mousse for this. The mousse takes seconds to apply, and a few minutes to dry, leaving a beautiful sheen. I rubbed the sponge in soft circles on the raised palms with two colors, blending the colors together. After it was dry, I trimmed the panel, and backed it with Tropical Teal card stock, for a pop of color through the die cuts. I attached the panel to a card base, and added the new Die D-Lites Bold Smile to finish the card.

My second card features the New Delhi Cut And Emboss folder.

This card was super fun to make. I picked a rainbow of ink colors to use, and blended my rainbow over the embossed white card stock. Next, I used a large dauber to apply white pigment ink. The pigment ink dulls the ink colors a bit, and is really wet, making the panel perfect for my next step. I brushed Ranger Perfect Pearls all over the panel with a brush. The sheen powder sticks perfectly to the pigment ink. This card SHINES in person.

Beautiful shine and texture!

I attached the panel to a card base once it was dry, and finished with the Hello Die D-Lites Bold Type.

That’s all that I have for today. I hope I have given you ideas for these folders. You can find more Cut And Emboss folders in the Spellbinders shop. Thanks for stopping by!
