My Favorite Things March Release Countdown Begins!

The MFT March Release Countdown starts today! Lots of new product reveals are on the MFT blog, including the new Birdie Brown stamp set, Unicorns And Glitter.

As soon as I saw this stamp set, I saw rainbows for days! Having grown up with Punky Brewster and Rainbow Brite, I used those characters as inspiration when coloring this sweet girl. I picked a rainbow of Copic colors for her hair, and kept her dress, bow, and boots white to balance the colors. I used W0 and W00 to add a bit of shading to the white. I used W1 on her little friend for a bit more shadow definition.

I used Distress Oxide inks and Bristol Smooth paper for the background. I blended Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot onto the panel. Once I was happy with my blend, I let the panel air dry for a couple hours. I trimmed the panel with a stitched rectangle, then white heat-embossed the sentiment and stars. I attached the panel to a card base with foam adhesive, and added the friends with thin foam squares.

Be sure to stop by the MFT blog to see more of today’s reveals, and wonderful design team inspiration. The new release will be available this Tuesday, March 10th, at 10am EST. Thanks so much for stopping by!
