Pinkfresh Studio March 2020 Essentials Slim Cuts Release Blog Hop

Hi friends! I’m joining Pinkfresh Studio today for their FABULOUS Essentials Slim Cuts Release Blog Hop. If you’re following the hop, you should be arriving from Jennifer McGuire’s blog. You will find the full lineup listed below, as well as details for giveaways on today’s hop. I have two cards to share, so let’s get started!

This Release features NINE new Slimline die sets. The dimensions for the dies are based off a traditional slimline envelope, which is 3 7/8 x 8 7/8. The card dimension would be 3 5/8 x 8 5/8, and these slimline dies cut at 3 3/8 x 8 3/8 to perfectly fit inside the card base. Also in this release is a new color to the ink pad family: Detail Black Hybrid ink.

Before starting my projects, I used the Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolor rainbow to make backgrounds. This was so fun, and easy to do. I taped watercolor paper to a board, and used a flat paint brush to add a line of color. I quickly dried the watercolor paper with my heat tool, then added the next color. I overlapped the lines for added interest.

I used the Slim Diagonal Stitch Rectangle Die for this clean and simple birthday card. I die-cut one of the watercolor panels with Kelly Alpha Lower Case dies. I used glue to attach the letters, positioning the letters straight with a T-ruler. The sentiment is from Make A With stamp set, stamped with Detail Black Hybrid ink. I attached the die-cut panel to a card base with foam adhesive.

I made another fun birthday card, using another sentiment from Make A Wish stamp set.

A slimline shaker card? Yes, please! The new Slim Stitched Scallop Circles Panel makes the perfect windows for shakers. I used Scor tape and acetate to close the windows, and wrapped thin foam adhesive strips around each circle. I filled the circles with clear Essentials: Crystals, and closed the backs with another piece of acetate. I attached a rainbow watercolor panel to a slimline card base, and added the shaker panel. I finished the card with the sentiment.

That’s all that I have for today, but there is so much more inspiration in today’s hop! I hope I have helped give you ideas on how to use slimline dies. your next stop on the hop is Ashley Ebben. Thanks so much for stopping by!
