Flora And Fauna: Third Birthday Celebration

Hi friends! How is everyone doing? We are doing our best, keeping our 2 year old daughter busy during our Washington State lockdown. I learned earlier this week that its Flora and Fauna‘s birthday month. I have a close connection to them… they are based here, in Washington. I ADORE their whimsical style, and put together a few cards to share. I used Daniel Smith watercolors, and used zero technique… seriously! These images are so stinkin’ cute, there’s no reason to worry about coloring!

This first card features Summer Snail Set. Cute, right?? For all of my cards today, I stamped the images with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink, onto Fabriano Artistico Extra White watercolor paper. I moved the watercolors around with a #6 round paint brush.

Never underestimate the power of a Sharpie marker! I used a black Sharpie to fill in empty spaces for this first card. The sentiment is from Everyday Word Party Set, one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets in my stash! I stamped it with black ink onto white card stock, and used scissors to cut it out.

This next card features a bird and branch from Woodgrain Bird. I did mask the bird’s tail before stamping the branch. I did a super quick watercolor, then added an Everyday Word Party Sentiment.

My last two cards are from my favorite stamp set, Car Garden Set.

Stop!! I can’t get over the cuteness! Clean and Simple is so easily accomplished with this set. I just stamped a couple images, added a bit of watercolor and a sentiment, and I was done!

Something so clean and simple can bring a huge smile to a loved one’s day. This stamp set does exactly that for me.

I used the presents accessory stamp for this birthday card, though it could easily be changed (and will be) into a Christmas card. I love sets that you can stretch!

That’s all that I have for today. I hope I have helped give some inspiration on ways to pass on happiness to your loved ones. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. I am not familiar with this company… on your recommendation I am going to check it out. Love your happy cards. Sometimes simple really says it better. Love that adorable “bus” they sure are popular these days. Stay healthy and safe. I can imagine how stressful it is with a two year old in the house. Thanks for your great attitude!

    1. Vera is a handful, but she’s so stinkin cute, she gets away with it. 😂 I have my crafting to give me peace when I need it. My husband bakes. We take turns with our hobbies and Vera. And we are watching a LOT of Disney movies, since it’s been raining every day so far this week.
Definitely check out Flora and Fauna. I adore them! And the owners are soooo sweets!
