I recently went through my stash of Sunny Studio Stamps, and found my one of my first stamp sets I purchased from them, Two Scoops. I was so scared of coloring a few years ago, and fully relied on layered stamps to do the shading for me. I thought it would be fun to revisit this set, this time incorporating colored pencils.

I stamped this ice cream backwards, so I could make a one-layered card. Starting with the cherry, I stamped and then masked. I then stamped the chocolate, masking before the next layer, and continued through the rest of layers in the same way. Once I finished stamping, I picked coordinating colored pencils to add extra shadows to the right side of the cone. I used warm gray pencils to add a drop shadow behind the cone before finishing the card with a sentiment.

If you don’t mind fussy-cutting masks, I definitely recommend giving this a try. It takes a bit more time, but it is totally worth it! Thanks so much for joining me today!

Can’t beat a cherry on the top! Love all the shading, really adds dimension. I kind of like masking. I always loved paper dolls when I was a kid. Cutting them out was my favorite part. I have this set and I need a card for my brother -in-law in May. I think this might work…Thanks for inspiring me.
It was so refreshing to use this set again. I love the sentiments. Thanks Anne!❤️
