Pretty Pink Posh: June 2020 Release Blog Hop

Welcome to Day One of a two-day blog hop, celebrating the new PPP June Release! You can find all of the new products in the PPP shop! If you’re arriving from  Jennifer McGuire’s blog, you’re in the right spot. A full list of the hop lineup is listed below, as well as details on a comment-to-win giveaway. Let’s Get Started!

This is the new Layered Leaves and Flowers Stencil set. I blended Pinkfresh Studio Fresh Pear, and Sky Blue ink, as well as MFT Blu Raspberry ink onto a white card stock panel. I added the leaves stencil over the panel, and blended Pinkfresh Studio Meadow and Summer Shower inks over the stencil. For the flowers, I added a thin layer of Ranger Texture Paste over the flower stencil, then set the panel aside for a few hours to dry. Once dry, I brushed Pearl Burnish Liquid White Colored Pencil with a paint brush over the flowers, to make them extra white. I added the die-cut Hello, and a heat-embossed Simple Sentiment. The flowers were finished off with Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I used the leaves stencil from the same Layered Leaves and Flowers stencil set for my second card, this time on Canson XL watercolor paper. I love how the texture of this paper shines through!

I blended Evergreen Bough, and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide inks onto the watercolor paper. I attached the leaves stencil, and blended another layer of the same inks. Before removing the stencil, I added a thin layer of Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Paste. Once the paste was dry, I trimmed the panel, and attached it to a card base. I finished the card with a die-cut Hello, and Simple Sentiment.

My next card features the new Jungle Background Stencil, and the new Hi Shaker Die.

I attached the stencil to a panel of Bristol Smooth paper, and blended Wild Honey, Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks over it. I added a thin layer of Dreamweaver Translucent Embossing Paste over the stencil before removing it. After the panel was dry, I attached the card together, finishing off with a Simple Sentiment. (Can you tell I love Simple Sentiments stamp set??)

TIP– Before I use my stencils, I prep them with Pixie Spray. I highly recommend some sort of reposition adhesive on delicate stencils. I spray my stencils, let them set for a minute or so, then press them onto printer paper to get any excess adhesive off.

Here’s a few cards that were featured earlier this week on the PPP Blog:

Thanks so much for spending time with me today. I hope I have helped inspire new ideas using these new products. Your next stop on the hop is the FABULOUS Wanda Guess.
