The Greetery’s Destination: Summer Collection

Summertime is finally here, and The Greetery is showcasing summer favorites in the new Destination: Summer Collection. Today kicks off product reveals, leading up to Friday’s release. I have a lot to share, so let’s get started!

Say hello to my new favorite watering cans! They’re from the new Sprinkled With Kindness stamp set. The watering can is stamped in three steps, very similar to the Just Mason Around stamp set. I stamped the cans with Pinkfresh Fresh studio inks (Urban Raincoat, Wild Truffles, Starry Night color families).

To “age” the cans, I added Distress Oxide ink, using a finger dauber, to the first two steps of stamping. I stamped the image first with dye ink, then stamped again after dabbing the oxide ink. For the Silver and Blue can, I used Vintage Photo. For the Brown, I used Fired Brick.

I filled the watering cans with beautiful Budding Beauties Summer, and Petite Eucalyptus stems. I inked the stamps with a variety of Distress Oxide inks, and a finger dauber. I LOVE the vintage look the oxides give the flowers!

To make these cans their own cards, I did an easy trick: I die-cut a blank watering can, and stamped a sentiment from Sprinkled With Kindness. I scored a folding line below the handle, and glued above the folding line to the stamped can.

Budding Beauties Summer stamp set includes coordinating sentiments for Bottled Up. I stamped the bottle with MFT inks, and filled it with Petite Eucalyptus, and a Budding Beauties Summer rose. I stamped a sentiment onto the label, and aged the label with Old Paper Distress Oxide ink. The background is Painterly Stripes, die-cut with the large Postal Frame Die.

Now let’s move on to summer treats! One of my all-time favorite desserts is peach cobbler. Just seeing a peach makes me crave for a bite. Needless to say, I was super excited to see these next products!

The newest Print Shop Collection is here: Peachy Keen. Three stencils and a coordinating stamp set made the background for these cards. I used a variety of inks to blend the fruit, flowers and leaves. The sentiments are from Just Peachy Sentiments stamps and dies.

Ink Colors used are: TE Peaches and Cream, MFT Coral Crush (peaches), Pinkfresh Studio Fresh Pear and Grassy Knoll (leaves), Pinkfresh Studio Sky Blue, Summer Shower, and Storm (flowers).

I used Prismacolor pencils to make this card a bit more vibrant. The peaches were shaded with Sienna Brown and Mineral Orange pencils. French Grey pencils were used for the drop shadows. TIP: When using a colored pencil, hold it towards the top of the pencil. This helps keep the coloring soft, and causes less tip breakage.

This was my first time coloring in a background. I have seen it done a lot, and love how it Looks! I used N7 Copic Marker to color with.

Peachy Keen stamp set also comes with single peach stamps. I used the those stamps to make these peaches, and stamped a sentiment from Just Peachy Sentiments Stamp Set. I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the peaches. The background is Windowpane Plaid, stamped with Grout ink.

Ok… now that we have peaches, we need a crate to put them in, right??

Create-a-Crate Die has so many components to make an adorable crate. You want wood grain? You got it. You want embossed sentiments? You got it. Even down to the panel screws, Betsy has you covered! I picked thick pink pattern paper for this crate. I used a sanding block to sand the paper, exposing the white core. I used Just Peachy Sentiments to make signs for the sides of the crate, and added peaches to the front. I finished with a bag of sugared peaches, decorated with a Fit To Be Tied Bow, and dropped this in my hubby’s lunch box!

I made a second crate, this time using a different theme.

I really wanted to drape the crate with a Cozy Cup Coaster. I picked wood-grain pattern paper to make the crate with, and “aged” it with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink. I assembled the crate, added the coaster, and finished with a Cozy Cup. I stamped a sentiment from Signed And Sealed on the side signs. Unfortunately, The coffee shop that has specific treats I wanted to fill this crate with is closed, so I made do with tea bags. There’s so many options on how to make this crate fun. (I can’t wait for Christmas!!)
