Pinkfresh Studio & My Sweet Petunia Co-Hop + Giveaway

Welcome friends! Today, Pinkfresh Studio and My Sweet Petunia have come together for a special blog hop. There’s lots of inspiration being shared today, combining these two companies’ products together. I have two projects to share, and information on giveaways and a weekend sale. Let’s get started!

I made two of the same card, changing up a few things. First, let’s start with the background. I used Floral Shadow Cling Rubber Stamp, and my MISTI. The MISTI is needed for this technique, since the image will be stamped several times. My first step was stamping the Floral Shadow onto Grid Paper. This helped me place my watercolor panel exactly where I wanted it. I taped my panel down, and then picked out two Tombow Markers to color the stamp with.

I colored the stamp quickly with the pens, making sure to overlap the colors. I then sprayed the stamp with water. I stamped the panel, letting the stamp sit on the paper for a few seconds. I lifted the lid, sprayed the stamp again lightly, and re-stamped the panel. I set the panel aside to dry, and moved on to the second panel. There was still a lot of color on the stamp, so all I had to do was lightly respray it, and stamp.

I trimmed the panels with the large Essentials: Stitched Rectangle, and attached them to card bases. For the vibrant panel, I die-cut a white Braided Oval, and used thin foam squares to attach it to the card. The sentiment words are from the new Thin Words Everyday Script, available exclusively at Scrapbook.com.

Since the second panel took on such a light tone, I ink-blended Marigold and Raspberry Bliss onto white card stock, before die-cutting the Braided Oval. I backed the black die-cut words with a white background for added interest. Lastly, I finished the cards with an Artistic Bow, and an Essentials Jewel.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope I have helped with new ideas on how to use these products.
