Thinking Of You

My Favorite Things & Friends August Release

Happy Release Day! The August Release is now available! All new products in the Release can be found HERE. I am showcasing the new Stacey Yacula Happy Campers stamp set for today’s card.

I stamped the characters with Milk Chocolate ink (using Milk Chocolate ink really softens the stamp lines), and colored them with Copic Markers. I wanted their backsides to be super dark, so I ended up experimenting with a lot of Copic colors, trying to figure out how to get that effect.

I die-cut a background bush using the new Slimline Grassy Hill Die-namics, and blended a sky background with Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I splattered white paint for stars, and added the sentiment and characters with thin foam squares.

Copic Colors used: Fox- E29, E18, E08, YR18, YR14, YR12, W3, W1; Guitar and tree stump- E59, E37, E33, YR 27, YR24, YR23, Y23; Rabbit- E49, E47, E44, E43, E42, E41, W3, W1; Mouse- T7, T5, T3, T1, Y000; Latern- YR23, Y23, N9, N6.

Be sure to stop by the MFT blog  for details on today’s release, and on a big giveaway. There’s also a full list of this month’s designers, and tons of inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

    1. I’ve never worked with pigment ink, but I would definitely try it out. If the paint is too thin, it takes on the distress ink color.
