My Favorite Things August Vault Release Countdown Begins!

The August MFT Vault is being opened on Tuesday, and we are showing off a few sneak peeks from the vault today. Here is some information about what the Vault Release is:

We’re opening up the vault, and we can’t wait to reveal what’s inside. With 13 years of experience under our belts, we’re thrilled to re-discover some classic MFT designs, and share them with you all over again! We might unearth an old favorite with a new twist, or possibly a brand-new-to-you design you missed out on in the past. We’re confident that this month’s vault contains something you’ll love…are you ready to see what treasure awaits?

I picked Seaside Seagulls to showcase today.

These cute seagulls were colored with Copic Markers, and die-cut with the coordinating dies. I made them ocean waves to sit on, using Ocean Motion Die-namics. The background clouds were made with the Rolling Clouds stencil, and Blu Raspberry ink.

For the card base, I die-cut two circles, and scored one of the circles at 3/4 inch. I attached Scor Tape above the scored line, and attached it to the other circle. The scored circle is now the backside of the card base.

Copic Markers used: C03, C01, C00; V93, YR23, Y21.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see all of today’s product reveals of the August Vault Release. This is the largest Vault Release yet, so there’s tons to see!

  1. I love visiting the vault… I still want a couple of things shown. Rolling clouds is definitely on my list and I also missed the beach scene die-namics last time. Really sweet gull card. Love the waves and those clouds are so fabulous too. That stencil is for me…

  2. I saw this set of images on an email about “coming out of the vault” and thought, “those gulls look like they’d be cute.” When I saw your card, I was immediately convinced of my earlier hunch. This card is straight-up ADORABLE!! Love it. I love the colors that are on a gradient w/ darkest in back. I love how the gulls are sort of tucked among the waves and really appear to be bobbing along with the motion of the waves. Love the whole stinkin’ cute thing!!

  3. Such cute seagulls! And I Love your clouds!! I love making clouds with distressed ink! Still gotta try a round card!!
