My Favorite Things & Pear Blossom Press Halloween Hoo

Hi friends! I am stopping by today with a special blog. MFT Stamps and Pear Blossom Press have joined together today, and we are sharing ideas on combing products. I made a Halloween card, showcasing both companies products.

I use Halloween Hoo stamp set for today’s card. The background was made with Black Soot, Forest Moss, Crushed Olive, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I splattered black and white paint over the panel, and set it aside to dry. The images were stamped, then colored with Copic Markers. When it came time to work with the lights, I turned to YouTube for directions.

I followed a YouTube video (found HERE) to help me put together my card. I don’t do interactive cards too often, so I was a bit nervous going into this project. Nicole’s video really put me at ease, once I saw how easy it was to make everything work. I used stars from the coordinating die set to die-cut 3 stars, backed them with vellum, and taped the lights by them. I finished the card with a heat-embossed PUSH circle.

Stop by the MFT blog for more ideas and inspiration to “light up” your cards! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Hooooooo was nervous…. you should be nervous more often..that card is terrific! The off kilter owl looks like the branch is starting to give and the very well lit ghostly (thanks to EZ lights) is swishing in to save his friends. Soooo cute!🌚🌘

  2. Oh my stars… love this so much. Great stamp set and wouldn’t a kid just love to open up something that is this fun!!! Nicely done and I feel more confident about the lights after your explanation. Great Job!

  3. Bravo! I think your card is great. I like how you backed the stars with vellum, it gives it such a nice effect. And your blended background is amazing, great color choices!

  4. The vellum for the stars was a great idea. I love your night sky! Making these light up cards is so fun.

  5. Once again, your ink blending is amazing! Right along with the rest of your adorable card! I definitely have to get those lights!💕
