Christmas Cards Thinking Of You

My Favorite Things September Release Countdown Begins!

The September Release Countdown starts today, and it’s packed with lots of fun Christmas reveals! I picked Birdie Brown’s new stamp set, Present Time, to use for today’s card.

I used two snowmen from Present Time, and the fence from Snow Buddies to make an outdoor scene. I colored the images with Copic Markers, and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I made snow drifts with the new Stitched Slimline Snow Drifts Die-namics.

The background is All Lined Up Diagonally, stamped in Poppy ink onto Tickled Pink card stock. I trimmed the panel with a Stitched Rectangle, and die-cut a Tall Snow Globe window. I attached the window over the snowmen, and finished the card with a heat-embossed sentiment.

Copic colors used: Snowmen- BV00, B000, B0000, YR18, YR12, R00, R000; Yellows- V93, YR23, Y21; Reds- R59, R29, R35, R32; Browns- E29, E37, E35.

You can find all of today’s product reveals on the MFT blog, as well as wonderful design team inspiration. The new release will be available this Tuesday, September 8, at 10am EST. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. This card is a masterpiece! You used a wonderful background stamp to make your own patterned paper, a unique die reminiscent of a snow globe, the fence from another stamp set, what looks like a cloud die for the snow drift the snow man is standing in (although I guess it’s a hill die), and then your coloring is spot on! Amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing your imagination and talent with us!

    1. Yay! Thank you! The snow drift is a die from Snow Buddies. Perfect to tuck critters in the snow!

  2. I love your use of yellow in this card. I don’t often think of yellow for winter themes but this is excellent!!! Thanks so much for sharing your idea.

  3. Wonderful creative use of snowglobe die. Like the snowy wintry snowman scene.

  4. These fit perfectly into that snow globe die… love how happy they look. Christmas seems to do that to people. Love the color of the background stamp. Really pops with the snowy sky. Nicely done!!!

  5. What better place for a couple of snowmen than in a SNOW globe. Too cute! Love that diagonal background stamp.
