My favorite Things November Release Countdown: Final Countdown Day!

Are you ready for tomorrow’s MFT release? You can find a shopping list over on the MFT blog, as well as one last round of product reveals. For my card today, I used the new Wonderful Woods stamp set.

My heart always stops for silhouette stamp sets. They make such simple, beautiful cards. I picked three brown inks to work with. I placed the trees in my MISTI, and stamped the back row of trees first, onto white card stock, using the lightest ink. I repeated with the middle ink, and finished the bottom row with the darkest ink. I staggered the trees a little bit for contrast. Next, I used W3, and W1 Copic Marker to add quick shadow flicks to the trunks of the trees, then blended a bit of Kraft ink over the trees, and more heavily around the edges of the panel. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set, then splattered watered-down white paint for a snowy look. I trimmed the panel with a stitched rectangle die once the paint was finished, and attached it to a card base.

This card took about 15 minute to make, from start to finish. I plan on making sets of these as Christmas gifts for friends and family.

I hope I have shared inspiration on this last day of product reveals. I will be back tomorrow with one last card showcasing November’s release. See you then!
