Father's Day

The Greetery’s Man Made Collection

Can you believe it’s almost Father’s Day?? Time is flying fast, and The Greetery is coming in just in time, with a fabulous release dedicated to Dad. I made a few cards showcasing the new products, so let’s take a look at what will be in The Greetery Shop tomorrow.

Up first is Dad Squared stamp set and die. I started with the background. I stamped Big Plans background stamp with gray ink onto gray card stock. The panel was trimmed with a Crimped frame, and attached to a card base with craft foam.

I inked the stamp with Antique Linen and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink, using finger daubers. I stamped “Love You” with black ink, and attached it to the card panel with thin foam squares. I finished with “Happy Father’s Day”, one of two small sentiments included in Dad Squared stamp set.

I used Dad Squared again for this card, this time using an included stamp to stamp the bottom portion of DAD, and used the second small sentiment, Happy Birthday. I framed it with a black Text Box, and made a background strip, using Tartan Builder Stencil.

The Tartan Builder stencil was used again for this next card, which I paired with the new Reflections stamp set. I inked the Reflections scene with distress oxide inks (Broken China, Tea Dye, Mowed Lawn, Vintage Photo, Forest Moss), then picked Pinkfresh Studio inks to make the background. (Summer Shower, Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll) a few added pencil detail were added to the trees and grass, then the panel was die-cut with the coordinating die.

I picked Pinkfresh Studio’s Gray color family to stamp this card. (Misty Coast, Rocky Slope, Metropolis, Licorice) I blended a bit of gray ink onto a white background, before attaching the die-cut panel.

I giggled when I saw this Dad Jokes: High Steaks stamp set. I come from a medium-rare family. We all love our steaks red, and dad cooks them perfectly! So I definitely had to make him a card. I inked the steak with Tattered Rose and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide inks, and the the fork with Black Soot and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks. I trimmed a black panel with the large Postage Frame, and white heat-embossed the sentiment. For a little added interest, I stamped, and clear heat-embossed, the reflection stamp from Reflections stamp set.

  1. Great cards today. My favorite is your first one with the background stamp done in gray ink on gray paper. Love the subtle look of this. Such a classic look.

  2. I get a kick out of the steak card! So great for someone who loves barbecuing and steaks (I don’t know a man who doesn’t love both- really!) Love the plaids as well. My husband wears plaid shirts 80% of the time! And I can make “manly” cards with plaids for his friends and not worry about the cards being too lady like.

  3. This is such a great new release! I am loving that new Big Plans background and my favorite of our cards is that tone on tone gray card using the Reflections set. Just beautiful!

  4. Such a fun release and great cards, Angelica! You’ve used some awesome color combos, too. ❤️

  5. Very cool cards. I love what you created with this new release. Thanks for sharing.

  6. I love these stamps! They make such great neutral / manly cards! Can’t wait!!

  7. The use of grays on your lovely Reflections card was terrific—the same image in grays could also be used as a sympathy card. Love the masculine gray cardstock and ink with the fab blueprint—it’s crisp and sharp!

  8. What beautiful projects. I love the tone on tone grey with the Reflections set.
