Happy Release Day! I am so excited to be part of today’s Colorado Craft Company June Release. This is another Anita Jeram release, filled with her whimsical characters. Anita is an accomplished children’s book author and illustrator:
“Having sold over 47 million copies worldwide, she has truly captured the hearts of children and adults alike. Now, together with 3C, we bring you stamps, dies, papers, and stencils that are sure to help you create handmade cards that are fun, kind, and whimsical.”

The moment I saw this Play Time stamp set, my heart melted! There’s two images in this set. The first image is mice playing with tea, and the second is these mice playing with makeup. My daughter is four, and her favorite activity right now is anything makeup! She even got a vanity table for her birthday last month. So I had to color these mice, if anything, just to hear her say “AWWWW!” And she did.

I used Copic markers to color the scene. I started with cool grays for the ground shadows and mice, then moved on to teals, reds, and gold.
- Gold: Y21, Y26, Y28
- Pink: RV19, RV14, RV21
- Teal: BG11, BG72
- Red: R59, R29, R35, R32
- Violet: V99, V95, V93, V91
- Neutral Gray: N8, N6, N4

I stamped the sentiment, and decided the scene was a little too plain. So I pulled out Stripes And Dots Background, and stamped a black strip pattern. I attached it to the card base, and finished with a strip of dark pink glitter paper.

That’s all that I have for now… Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Daniel West.

Beautiful card, Angelica!
who knew mice could be beautiful? thanks as always for sharing.
Awesome sentiment!
This is so cute. Like your daughter I was fascinated with my mother’s make up. Back then, women carried around most of their make up in their purse. I used to call it mother’s bag of tricks. Oh, what fun to remember.
How sweet!
I love it!!! I love the pop of pattern on the left and all the fun on the right.
Such cute stamps! AJ stamps are adoranle. Your card is super cute.
So adorable! Perfect for a teen!!
This is perfect! I tend to do a lot of kitchen scenes like the scrumptious one included in this Playtime stamp set, but golly wow! the scene you’ve chosen here with such lovely coloring, using pink and teal and a perfect drop of warm yellow and orange is so eye catching. So playful and perfect for fun friends.
Thanks for sharing your talents!
P.S. Choosing a favorite from this release is tough but A Fox’s Life has won my heart.
Those mice are so cute, I love that they are playing with the fake eyelashes, such a cute scene!
Oh my! Those mice are precious! Your images make me grin! I have the “I want them all” syndrome and until I got to your cards, my favorite set of this new release was the Happy Ever After set. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
