Autumn/Thanksgiving

The Greetery’s Leaf & Blade Collection Reveal: Day Two

We have a new round of product reveals to share today, before tomorrow’s big release! I’ve made 3 cards showcasing a few of the new products, so let’s get started.

The new Rustic Wreath Twigs die makes a beautiful fall wreath. There’s two pieces in the set, and I die-cut white card stock with them. I inked the pieces with Tea Dye, and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks, using finger daubers. I glued the pieces together, following the included guide. I attached it to a card front that I had stamped a Rustic Wreath sentiment on. I finished the card with two Toadstool Garden mushrooms, and a Fit To Be Tied bow.

My next card features the new addition to the Curio series: Autumn Findings.

I die-cut all of the autumn pieces from white card stock, and inked them with Distress Oxide inks. I stuck close to fall colors: Rusty Hindge, Dried Marigold, Forest Moss, Ground Espresso, Aged Mahogany, Antique Linen. I inked each background with Salvaged Petina Distress Oxide ink. I love the softness this blue green color gives to the card.

The background is from two dies: Curio Divider and Details, and Curio Cover Die, all colored with E37 Copic marker. I picked two stamps from Curio Labels stamp set for the sentiment, and die cut the strip using the coordinating die.

My last card features the new Fall Foliage Hot Plate.

I picked milk Chocolate card stock to add gold leaves on to, using my Gemini Hot Foil Press machine. I snipped the hot foil leaves apart, and made my own background, moving the dies around. This did get to be a little tricky towards the end, since I couldn’t see exactly where I was putting the leaves. I relied heavily on the grid, and side measurement on the hot plate so I didn’t overlap any leaves. (Making a background like this does take practice, so keep that in mind if you try it out.) Once I finished, I trimmed the panel, attached it to a card base with foam adhesive, and finished with a sentiment from Harvest Home stamp set. I used two dies from Sentiment Suite: Basic Die to die-cut the sentiment strip.
