Christmas Cards

The Greetery’s Tags & Toasts Collection

Hello everyone! I am really excited to share with you ideas and inspiration, showcasing new items from The Greetery’s Tags & Toasts Collection. I make all of the Christmas tags for the whole family every year, and this past week I have been busy crafting away with these new products. I have lots to share, including details on a sale and giveaway, so lets get started!

I have completely fallen in love with hot-foiled cards, and now I can add tags to that list. The new Tag Team Duo Collection has products that coordinate perfectly together. A hot foil plate, coordinating dies, stamps, stencils… endless options for holiday tags, and tags throughout the year, too! The plate foils the edges and inside frames of two tags at a time. The Tag Team Duo Holiday Surround stamp set gives the perfect winter foliage to stamp around the frames.

I foiled white card stock in several colors, and stamped the layered images with matching inks. I stamped sentiments from the Holiday Surround stamp set, as well as the new Tag Team Duo Labels stamp set, and the previously released Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments stamp set.

Some of the inside frames I die-cut, using dies from the Tag Team Duo die, and popped them up on the tags with thin foam squares. Baker’s twine makes it easy to add the tags to presents and/or bags.

Want to make your own background? There’s stencils to do that! The Tag Team Duo Stripes and Dots set has seven stencils in it. I had foiled these tags, intending to stamp them with the Holiday Surround stamp set, but got too much excess foil on the tags. I used a sand eraser to get the foil off, but in the end, the mess was too large to erase. Instead of throwing the tags away, I stenciled them with vibrant colors, and used die cuts to hide the imperfections. The greenery bough is from Hoop Wreath stamp set, and the Christmas bell is from Curio: Attic Ornaments die. The red bow is from my favorite bow die set, Fit To Be Tied.

2022 is almost here, and with that comes new celebrations. The new Year In, Year Out:2022 die is perfect for anything 2022, including Happy New Year cards, and graduations. This is a limited edition release, so be sure to grab a set before they’re gone!

For this Happy New Year Card, I started with It’s The Year: 2022 Hot Foil plate. I hot-foiled gold onto black card stock, then lined up the die around the foiled numbers. After I die-cut the card stock, I also die-cut anther black panel, as well as copper glitter paper. I glued the non-foiled die cut to a trimmed card front, glued the glitter pieces in place. I gold heat-embossed a sentiment from the coordinating Year In, Year Out Sentiment stamp set onto the banner of the foiled black die cut, and glued it to the top of the panel. I glued a few stars from the black die cuts to finish the panel.

My last card features more hot-foiling… this time with a new item that matches previously released products.

There’s two new Foil plates arriving in the shop tomorrow: Opposites Attract Hot Foil, and Opposites Attract Holiday Hot Foil. I picked Opposites Attract, and used the previously released Opposites Attract Die to die-cut the words. One thing I LOVE about this foil set: un-snipped, it matches the un-snipped die set. I hardly every snip my dies apart, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the dies and hot foil were positioned the exact same. This made the foiling and die-cutting process really quick and easy. The background was made with Print Shop: Fresh Floral stamp and stencil set.

  9. Love every one of your tags! Hoping to find a foiling machine under my tree this year. Too late for foiled tags this year, but I’ll be back to check out all of these a year from now. Will have to settle for stamps and dies for now.

  10. Amazing projects, Angelica! You always combine old with new so beautifully. I still struggle using Print Shop: Fresh Floral stamps and stencils but love the results.

  11. I love the crisp and bright colors of the tags! One can almost smell the fresh fragrance of the pines! Gorgeous!

  13. I’m just lovin’ the Year In, Year Out collection! I’m going to have to learn how to do the Hot Foiling!

  14. Love it all. I really love that you used so many different colors of foil. And I love how honest you were about the over foiling that you turned into a win. That is very encouraging to those of us that are not “professionals” in the industry. Always try to work around the oops that happen. Thank you.
