Can you believe autumn is right around the corner? I can’t wait for scarves and hot cider! And I am definitely in the mood now, after creating with this fabulous new collection from The Greetery. You are going to have a lot of fun today and tomorrow seeing all of the new products in Thursday’s release. I have a few cards to share, information on a giveaway, and links to today’s designers. Let’s get started!

My first card features two new items: Patchwork Die and Print Shop: Calico Stamp and Stencil set. I made several panels using Print Shop: Calico Stamp and Stencils, then die-cut them with the Patchwork Die. Once all the panels were die-cut, I snipped them apart, made patterns, and glued them back together. I paired this card with a Wood Slice Heart, a blossom from Curio: Spring Findings, and a Sentiment Suite: Thinking Of You sentiment.

For a completely different look, I changed the background colors, and made a baby-themed card, using a sentiment from Balloon Bouquet stamp set. I die-cut it with the small Deco Frames Die, and backed it with a Crimped Slimline banner. You can find a video of how I made these cards over on The Greetery YouTube channel.

Now let’s talk about the new BotaniCuts Apples…

Oh my goodness, I could’ve made apples for days! These were so fun to make, and came together really quickly. You can find my process for these cards over on The Greetery YouTube channel.

I used Distress Oxide inks and finger daubers to ink up the apples. For the red apples, I used Crushed Olive, Tattered Rose, Festive Berries, and Aged Mahogany. For the green apples, I used Twisted Citron, Forest Moss, and Rustic Wilderness. The thank you sentiment on this card is from Sentiment Suite: Thank You stamp set.

I used the new Bushel Basket Die to make a basket for the apples. I inked it with the following Distress Oxide Inks: Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo, and Ground Espresso. I stamped a sentiment from Market Basket Sentiment stamp set onto the label.

I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to make an ink-smooshed background for the apple branch, and paired the branch with a Blessed Blooms sentiment.
My next card features the new Warm & Wonderful stamp set.

I couldn’t resist putting this gorgeous stamped latte on a black background. Before I did, I gold-heat-embossed a Warm & Wonderful sentiment, and die-cut the panel with a Nordic Frame. I splattered gold paint onto the panel, then attached the die-cut latte and trimmings with thin foam squares.

My last set of cards features the new Jumbo Curiosity Buckeye Leaf Die.

I made a set of cards last fall using the same layout and background, and was asked by a lot of people how I made the bright pigment powder backgrounds. So I decided this would be a great time to replicate the card set, and make a video. I tapped Nuvo Pigment Powders on watercolor paper, and spritzed with water. Once dry, I die-cut the panel with an A2 Arches die, and finished the cards with a Curio Labels sentiment.

Hi, Angelica –
I love the look of these quilts!! Especially the baby card one. Delightful! I also adore the apple cards; I am in awe of your ability to take some blue spatters and ink splotches on a card and create a fabulous, perfect background for the apples. I enjoyed your video, too. I love the hot beverage card as well as the buckeye!
