Avery Elle’s Peek-A-Boo Pals

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have s couple adorable Avery Elle Peek-A-Boo cards to share. This is the perfect stamp set to stamp a lot of characters out, find a good movie to watch, and snuggle up on the couch with your favorite coloring medium. That’s exactly what I did.

After I had all the animals (and their paws) colored, I cut them out and set them aside. For my first card, I tapped small amounts of Nuvo Violet Brocade Shimmer Powder onto watercolor paper and spritzed with water. I moved the pigment around a bit, then dried the paper with my heat tool. I used Avery Elle’s Circle Frames die to cut out the windows. For the middle two windows, I closed them with a strip of Hero Arts Acetate. I put a couple strips of foam adhesive around the windows, and filled them with Drive By Crafts Itty Bitty Shaker Fun. I closed the back of the windows with another piece of acetate. I added foam tape to the rest of the back of the card front. I flipped the paper over and added the cute animals and their paws. I glued on a couple party hats, and used Pink & Main paper to close the backs.

I added the cardfront to an A2 Top-folding cardbase. I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock using Nuvo Embossing ink, heat embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder, and used Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares to adhere to the card. I finished up with some cut out stars from the stamp set.

For my second card, I made a super quick and simple card with the elephant. I used Nuvo Shimmer Powders Atlantis Burst and Cherry Bomb to add color to the watercolor paper background, and a square frame to add interest to the sweet elephant. The stamped hearts were the only needed embellishments.

I colored 25 peek-a-boo pals throughout our movie… (I let my son pick, so 1987’s Overboard it was!) I was able to make a few cards with all the characters. Let me know what you think of these adorable pals. Arent they just the cutest?!!
