My Favorite Things January Release

Hello Friends!! I’m so excited to share some incredible news.  My Favorite Things invited me to join them in their January release. I was beside myself with glee when I received the invitation!  MFT is one of my favorite companies, and I can’t even explain how thrilled I am to be joining them this month for this incredible release.

For my first set of cards, I used the adorable (and quite possibly my favorite MFT stamp set yet!) Cute Chemists. I can’t get over how cute these chemists are! And the sentiments are a perfect match! For this first card, I kept the background simple, blending Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink over the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil, covering about 2/3 of the white card stock background. I used the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 to cut a thin strip of black card stock, and picked matching pattern paper from the new Sweet Stack Paper Pack. I colored the sweet scientist with Copic markers, and used the coordinating Die-namics to cut her and the hearts out. I stamped the sentiment, added shading to the ground, and attached the card front to an A2 size card base. I added the girl and hearts with thin adhesive squares.

For my second card from this stamp set, I used sweet boy scientist, using Copic markers to color him in.

For this card, I also used more accessory stamps from the set. The background I stamped with MFT Grout Gray ink, then trimmed the paper with the largest rectangle from the Wonky Stitched rectangle STAX.

I love how many Die-namics are in this release. Especially hearts!!! As much as I love coloring, I equally love working with just paper. I picked out coordinating MFT card stock from my stash that worked well with the new Sweet Stack paper pack, and started die-cutting hearts.

I used the new Lots Of Hearts Outlines Die-namics to cut the card stock. I made a lot of hearts so I could make several cards with them. I also used a sentiment from the Sweet Celebrations stamp set, trimming the stamped and heat-embossed sentiment with a Stitched Sentiments Strip Dienamic. I finished the card with a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Confetti.

For this card, I used a sentiment from the new Sassy Pants Love stamp set. I also brushed the middle of the hearts with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen for some shimmery shine.

I have one last project I want to share with you today…

Have you met the Friendly Fox yet? I am in LOVE!

This sweet fox is really easy to put together. MFT has put little indents into the face and body, so you know where to adhere all the pieces. I made this card with one of the 6 foxes I die cut… (I’m not kidding when I say they’re easy to put together! lol) I used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide, an ink blending brush, and Sunrise Radiating Rays stencil to make the background. I die-cut the card front with the large A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2, attached the card front to a piece of craft foam, and added it to a card base. I used thin adhesive squares to add the fox and heart. I stamped and heat embossed another sentiment from the Sweet Celebrations stamp set, and die-cut it with a Stitched Sentiment Strip. I attached it to the card front with thin adhesive squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team and MFT Friends. A huge Thank You goes out to Stephanie today for this fantastic opportunity working with MFT. I’ll be doing more behind-the-scene tutorials on this release every Monday this month, so be sure to check back weekly. Bye for now!
