It’s Pretty Pink Posh Valentine Theme week, which means all Valentine Items in the PPP shop is 15% off now through January 27! Yay for sales! Here’s a link to the shop: Valentine Sale. I am sharing a card today that I made using the new Floral Hearts Stamp Set.
Let’s talk about this stamps set. There’s three ways to use it: an inner flower heart, a larger flower outline, and when combining both stamps together, one large heart. There’s coordinating dies too for all three hearts. I chose to use the two stamps together for one big heart. I stamped them onto Neenah Desert Storm paper with InkOn3 Fade Out ink.
Next, I pulled out a rainbow of Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils and my pencil sharpener. I keep my sharpener next to me at all times when using my pencils. I used my white pencil the most, using it first to color light spots, then layering color over it. since the flowers are small, this is a perfect stamp set to try no-line coloring if you’re new to the technique. (Like me!)
After I was done coloring, I added white gel pen highlights, the used the rectangle from the Stitched Notes die set to trim the panel. I attached it to vellum, then to craft foam for dimension. I added the panel to an A2 size card base. My finishing touch was adding a heat embossed sentiment from the stamp set to the middle of the heart.
