It’s time for the June Birthday Project Challenge, and this month we are having a party:

“It’s just not a birthday unless there’s a party involved – even if it’s of the paper variety! This month, our talented team is sharing projects that feature a party scene — grab a single set, or mix and mingle characters from a variety of collections to create a festive atmosphere perfect for celebrating the lucky birthday boy or girl.”

These fairies come from the adorable Fairy-Tale Friends stamp set. I have a little girl, and thought it would be fun to create a magical party for her friend’s birthday next month. I stamped the middle fairy first, covered her with a mask, stamped the other two fairies, masked them, then blended the background.

Copic Markers and Faber Castell Polychromos pencils (FCP) used:

• Pink Fairy: Skin– E13, E15, E17, Burnt Sienna 9201-283 FCP; Hair– N9, N7, N5, Colorless Blender, Light Purple Pink 9201-128 FCP, White FCP; Dress: RV14, RV13, RV23, RV21, RV10, white gel pen, glitter gel pen
• Purple Fairy: Skin– E23, E25, E27, Burnt Umber 9201-280 FCP; Hair: N9, N7, N5, Violet 9201-138 FCP, White FCP; Dress: V15, V12, V01, V000, white gel pen, glitter gel pen
• Yellow Fairy: Skin– E15, E17, E18, Burnt Sienna 9201-283 FCP; Hair: B24, C09, C07, Colorless Blender, Light Phthalo Blue 9201-145 FCP, White FCP; Dress: Y11, Y15, Y19, YR23, white gel pen, glitter gel pen

All three sets of wings were colored with BG11, BG10, BG000. I used the Colorless blender on the hair to push back some color, and used the pencils to add highlights.

The background rays were made with Radiating Rays Stencil. I gold heat-embossed glittery stars from Unicorns and Glitter stamp set.
