I made a donation to Simon Says Stamp Crafters For A Cause Hurricane Relief in September. As a thank you, I received a box of goodies a few weeks later, which included this adorable Cozy Up stamp and die set from Concord and 9th. I wanted to wait for winter season to get here so I could make cards with it. But winter is too far away, and this set is too cute to be sitting in a box. I decided to make some cards, with a couple special crafting friends in mind.
I made my very first watercolor background. I stamped and heat embossed Let’s Stay Warm and Cozy, using Avery Elle white embossing powder (LOVE!). I used blues #63 & 64 from the Gansai Tambi 36 piece watercolor set. After the paint had dried, I splattered watered-down acrylic paint for “snow”.
I mounted the watercolor paper onto dark red cardstock. I stamped two mugs, watercolored with brown #47, and used the matching dies to cut. I punched two small hearts out of the same red cardstock, glued to the mugs, and adhered the mugs to the card front with foam adhesive.
I prepped the white card-base, stamped the inside with a sentiment and matching mugs. After attaching the card together, I added a few SSS confetti to the front. Now they’re ready to be mailed. This is a fun stamp set to play with. I’m looking forward to making another cozy card with it soon.
Thanks for stopping by. I will be posting another card soon, so be sure to check back shortly. Bye for now!
