My Favorite Things Card Challenge 425

Hi friends! It’s Wednesday, which means there’s a  new weekly Sketch Challenge on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog.  Every Wednesday this month I’ll be sharing a project following the weekly sketch.
For those of you that are new to the Sketch Challenge, it’s a weekly challenge in which you can create and link up any project you make inspired from the sketch provided.  And the best part is you’ll have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT shop!
Here’s this week’s sketch:

I used the adorable Birdie Brown Birth-Yay stamp set to build the scene for my card.

 I colored the the Rhino with W5, W3, W1, and W00 Copic Markers. The other colors I used: Balloon- V09, V17, V15, V12, V01, V000; Turtle- YG 61, YG63, YG67 (shell) YG01, YG05, YG09 (Face and legs) YG 21 (belly and shell dots); Red hat- R59, R29, R27, R24; Blue hat- B00, B02. After coloring, I used the coordinating Die-namics to cut the images out.

To assemble the card, I cut a strip of striped paper from the Candy Land 6×6 paper pack, and adhered it to an A2 size card base. I glued two thin strips of bright pink card stock to each side of the pattern paper. I stamped the sentiment on to another piece of bright pink card stock with embossing ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die-cut the card stock with a Stitched Sentiment Strip Die-namic. I used a rectangle die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX to add stitching to one side of teal card stock. I adhered the teal card stock to the card base, then added the sentiment strip with thin adhesive squares. I used more adhesive squares to add the images.
