Hello crafty friends! Today I have a pair of cards showcasing Altenew products. I used Altenew Watercolor to color these gorgeous floral images from the Perfectly Perfect stamp set.

For both cards, I used Altenew embossing ink to stamp the images, then heat-set with Altenew white embossing powder. The colors I chose for the pink floral card are: Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, Forest Glades, and Moon Rock. I did four layers of color on the flowers, three on the leaves.

After the paper was dry, I stamped the sentiment, and added Pink Blush jewels to give the card sparkle.

For the orange floral card, I used the following colors: Warm Sunshine, Sunkissed, Mocha, Evergreen, Forest Glades, and Dusk.

I ventured out more with color for this card. I don’t do much water coloring, (this is actually my second time using watercolors!), so pulling out more colors than three was a little scary for me. But I found out I actually really like water coloring, and I really like this Altenew 36 Pan watercolor set. The colors are beautiful and vibrant, and very user-friendly. I craft on a glass mat, so I used the glass to mix the colors with water.

I used the Thank You sentiment stamp from Altenew’s Dearest Friend stamp set. This watercolor paper has a beautiful weight and texture to it, so I definitely recommend using a stamping platform when stamping images on it. I had to stamp Thank You four times with black pigment ink, and that wouldn’t have been possible if I didn’t have a Mini MISTI.

Overall, I really enjoyed these watercolors. They are reasonably priced, and fun to play with. I am looking forward to my next project with them.
