Who’s ready for an MFT Color Challenge?? Here’s this week’s Color Combo:
All of the details about the Color Challenge can be found on the MFT blog; you’ll also find ideas there from the design team to help get you started.
I made a spotlight card featuring the gorgeous Poppy Blooms stamp. I colored the bloom with Copic Markers: RV19, RV17, RV14, YG01, YG03, N3, N5. When I finished with the markers, I did fine detail work with sharp Polychromos pencils, making it easy to add thin shading underneath the petals.
I fussy-cut the bloom, then used the coordinating Poppies Background stamp to make the background. I attached the bloom onto the matching bloom on the background with thin foam squares. I love this spotlight look. The flower absolutely glows against the background. I added a strip of Limelight card stock and a heat-embossed sentiment from the new Well, Hello stamp set to finish the card.
Now it’s your turn! Be sure to head over to the MFT blog for all the details on how you can enter the challenge and have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Shop! Thanks for stopping by!
Wow the spotlighted flower looks so dimensional and real, great work!
Stunning card,Angelica!
This spotlight card is gorgeous! I love the bright pink with the limelight strip, it really sets it off!! You made two cards that are shown with the rectangle frames dies, using a sweet little carousel with horse. I’ve been looking all over for this stamp and die set, if you could please tell me the name, it might help me find it. Thank you so much! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed looking through all of your cards today, especially the poppies! Have a great day!♥️♥️
I think the carousel is retired. Let me get to you on that.
