My Favorite Things June Release Countdown Day 5

It’s time to start the countdown to the My Favorite Things June release! There are fantastic summer products coming, and I can’t wait for you to see everything! I am sharing a card today using the new Birdie Brown Friends With Fins stamp set.

I picked this glorious whale from the stamp set to be the focus for my card. I colored it with Copic markers: B41, B45, B95, B97, C01, and C00. For the background, I first tapped a few droplets of Ranger Distress Resist Spray on a panel of white card stock.  Once they were dry, I ink-blended Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks over the droplets. Next, I used the Ray of Light stencil and Sweet Tooth Pigment ink to make soft rays of light.

I stamped a few schools of fish with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks, then trimmed the panel with a stitched rectangle. I attached the panel to an A2 size card base, and added the whale with thin foam squares. I picked a matching sentiment from the stamp set to stamp onto white card stock, die-cut it with the medium size Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics, and used thin foam squares to add the sentiment to the card.
